Wendy’s has a secret. On the surface it appears to have all the super high sodium options as all the other fast food chains out there, and they do. However, if you poke around on their menu page, you can customize many of their menu items. So when I was originally ready to relegate them to the list of Restaurants to avoid due to High Sodium options only, I was thrilled that I could customize many of their menu items for my low sodium needs. So here is the answer to “Can I eat low sodium at Wendys.”

We are always working with these posts on a meal that comes in under 750 mg (which I understand is still high for some people) or about 1/3 of the USDA recommended 2300 mg of sodium per day. Tip for salads: Order a half salad v. a full salad. The counts below include as is. You can customize salads to get lower counts. Typically the sodium in salads are in items like: cheese, dressing, croutons, and added proteins.
