Everything Bagel Spices
The most famous application of Everything Spices is on a bagel. The spice blend is added to the dough and glazed on top of the bagels. My wife and I have both spent time living in the New York and New Jersey area. We are used to great bagels. Yes, it is something about the water that makes New York bagels and hot dogs something special!
The blend is crunchy, nutty, heavy on the garlic, and usually loaded with kosher salt. That is why it is so cool that the Dak’s team has come up with this salt free version.
Uses For Daks Everything Salt Free Spice Blend
Everything spice can obviously be used in bread and bagel making. It is also perfect to mix into Panko bread crumbs or flour for a breading or dredge for chicken, pork, or fish. You can make a killer spread by folding it into some Greek yogurt and low sodium cream cheese or Marscapone cheese. Also it makes an awesome spice infused butter.
This fall I will try this blend for seasoning soups and stews. It would also be great as a salad topping or on a baked potato. There is no end of ideas for using this blend.
