We have found several low sodium allies in companies that are making excellent low sodium products. Chris negotiated discounts if you buy from any of these companies. We will never promote products we personally haven’t tried and can guarantee to you they taste good! Thank you for being part of the Hacking Salt Community!
Our friends Drew & Karen own Dak’s Salt Free Spices. Karen was a cardiac nurse, and lost family to heart issues. She and her husband Drew set out to create the best tasting, all-natural, salt free, non GMO, no MSG or Potassium Chloride Spice blends.
Great flavors (many are reviewed on our blog) like Cajun Voodoo, Italian, Greek, Asian Zing, Lemon Pep, Butt Kickin Buffalo, Montreal Steakhouse, and Chris’ favorite Smoked Bourbon Barrel Black Peppercorns.

Some Hot sauces are only hot in name. Rosie’s is truly hot. We are talking Scotch Bonnet, Habanero, and Ghost Peppers. Not for the weak! If you are a Pepperhead and need the heat, these would be for you. Believe me when I say a few drops go a long way! Here is Chris’ review.
Thanks so much for sending this. I will check them out soon. I have bought from Healthy Heart Market before. My only complaint is their shipping charges. I was once charged over 8 dollars for some spices that weighed about an ounce. I no longer use them but am so glad I now have some new businesses to work with.
Sincerely,
Michael MacLean
God bless you . My husband has congestive heart failure and sodium is poison for him. I work really hard to keep the food good, but it’s tough. Everyone should monitor their sodium, not just those with health issues. Companies can add salt to extend their shelf life so products will last until the Lord returns. I’m sharing this and going to work on my orders. Please keep up the good work
Thanks for your note Cindy – eating a LoSo lifestyle is hard but so worthwhile! Appreciate the encouragement – I may have some new partners in the coming months. –Mary
Thank you so much, Mary! I just placed an order through Healthy Heart Market. I’m grateful for the items that are easy swaps. As you know, eating low-sodium means cooking from scratch a lot. Thankfully I usually have the energy, space, and time to cook, but sometimes life catches up and I just need a can of soup, or some lower-sodium soy sauce to drizzle over rice. I’m looking forward to trying some spice blends next. 🙂
Glad to hear this helps you out! Lots of wonderful spice blends – let us know what your favorites are!
